Find a way to battle soaring temperatures
Cement kiln operators were being exposed to 130°F+ temperatures, putting them at serious risk of heat stress.
With no power sources in the area, and the extra issue that any equipment had to be at least 145 ft away, cooling presented a huge hurdle.

Air handling unit
Cool airflows, controlled from a distance
To tackle the problem, we used a ‘force cooling’ method. This combined a chiller and air handlerpackage, which increased static pressure and let us flow in cool air from 145 ft away. This shielded employees from exposure to the excessive heat from the rotating kiln.

No challenge too great for our technical and safety experts
Workers safe from heat - and more productive
Employees could now safely monitor the cement plant’s kiln, even in the summer months, at a safe and comfortable temperature. They were no longer at risk - and the improved conditions meant fewer safety-related penalties and greater productivity, too!.
"A rapid and precise solution was what the plant needed to maintain production levels and ensure a safe environment for its workers."
